Terms of Service

1. Service Description

These Terms govern your access to and use of the docuProof service. docuProof™ is operated by BuyWayz LLC, a Wyoming company, doing business as docuProof.io ("docuProof," "we," "us," or "our"). By using docuProof, you agree to these Terms.

• Non-custodial: The SHA-256 hash is computed in your browser; we do not receive your file contents.
• Proof record: We store the hash and associated metadata you provide, and we generate a public verification URL.
• No legal notarization: docuProof provides mathematical evidence of existence and integrity; it is not notarization and may not substitute for legally required formalities.

2. Accounts & Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for safeguarding your verification links and certificates.

3. Payments, Pricing & Refunds

• Payments via Stripe: We use Stripe to process payments. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for one-time proofs or subscriptions.
• Subscriptions: If you purchase a subscription, it renews automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: All one-time proof sales are final once a proof is anchored. If a charge was made in error and no proof was created, contact support@docuproof.io.
• Taxes: Prices may exclude applicable taxes; you are responsible for any taxes due.

4. Acceptable Use

• Do not use docuProof to infringe others' rights, store or promote illegal content, or violate applicable law.
• Do not attempt to interfere with or abuse our infrastructure, APIs, or security controls.
• You are responsible for the content and legality of materials for which you create proofs.

5. Intellectual Property

• Your rights: You retain all rights in your documents. Submitting a hash does not transfer ownership.
• Our rights: The docuProof service, software, and branding are owned by BuyWayz LLC or its licensors and are protected by law.

6. Availability & Changes

We may modify or discontinue features, adjust pricing, or perform maintenance. We will endeavor to avoid disruption, but availability is not guaranteed. We may update these Terms and will notify you of material changes.

7. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee acceptance of proof by any court, agency, or counterparty; rules of evidence vary by jurisdiction and context. docuProof provides cryptographic evidence, not legal certification.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL BUYWAYZ LLC (DBA DOCUPROOF.IO) BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DOCUPROOF IN THE 6 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuyWayz LLC (dba docuProof.io), its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the service, your proofs, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

10. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, U.S.A., without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The exclusive venue for any dispute shall be the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

11. Dispute Resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at support@docuproof.io. If we cannot resolve the dispute within 30 days, either party may proceed with formal legal action as described in Section 10.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BuyWayz LLC regarding the docuProof service and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
